I love labyrinths! Why? There are no decisions to make, just keep going. If you're faced with a decision of whether to turn one way or the other, you're actually in a maze, not a labyrinth. Nothing wrong with mazes but not my thing. A labyrinth's design sometimes varies but its purpose and benefit doesn't - it's a time for reflection, inner solitude, self-questioning, wonderment, and forgetfulness. And more. On this site, I'll post photos from many of the ones I have visted around the world. For several years, I didn't do a great job documenting my travels, especially overseas, so I'm missing a bunch from those years, but que sera sera. Ultimately, I love to walk, and a labyrinth is always a fine and fun place to do so. As St. Augustine supposedly said, "Solvitur ambulando." Indeed.
Many of the pictures across this site - and definitely the better ones - are not taken by me, but by my favorite photographer and life partner. She takes stunning photographs all the time. You can follow her here on Instagram to see more of her work.
I do have an Instagram account where I post occasional pictures too. If you're into that, find it here.
