The first thought I had when arriving at Happy Valley's labyrinth, was 'Well done.' It is in the parking lot of Happy Valley City Hall, but that was all I knew. It is actually the centerpiece of a small park called the Happy Valley Veterans Park, which has a peace pole, a metal soldier silhouette, a flag display and well-manicured grounds. And at the center of the small area is a large, brick labyrinth with a graceful tree in the center. It was a quiet, well-maintained place to reflect and walk the path. I know very little about Happy Valley - everything in this suburban town looks extremely recent - but their municipal labyrinth? Spot on. And appropriate for this one to be on the Fourth of July!
