Palm Desert, CA - Windy but welcoming

Palm Desert, just southeast of Palm Springs, is a place of big - large golf courses, shopping center, housing communities, and of course palm trees. It is literally in a desert and there are wide expanses all around. I stopped by St. Margaret's Episcopal Church recently and was pleased that their outdoor labyrinth was accessible and welcoming. It was also well-protected from gusty winds that day, as it sits just south of the large church sanctuary and between two other church buildings. It is an 11-circuit stone design with the flower-petal center, the familiar Chartres version.
