The school across the street from this small Quaker meeting house, West Hills Friends, in Portland's West Hills area was about to let out so I sensed noise and activity was imminent. But for a moment, I had this very compact labyrinth all to myself. I like how the turns are narrow enough that I had to walk slowly to stay on the path. It's a small, but cozy, pattern, and because it's right off the road, hopefully many passing pedestrians take advantage of the proximity. According to the organization's website, it was built in 2018 as an Eagle Scout project, and a goal was to connect better with neighbors and have all see West Hills Friends as a welcoming, accessible place.
