Pennsylvania State University, aka Penn State, has nearly 90,00 students and 20 different campus locations. It's a big and busy place. Yet on a recent weekend day, I was on the Reading, PA, campus known as Penn State Berks and did not encounter a single soul. I was in the labyrinth garden of the campus, near to a school conference center. The painted pattern was tough to discern in a few places due to fading, but the entire pattern was ultimately walkable. It's a shaded, tree-filled part of the campus, and it was a quiet oasis for me to experience.
