Approximately 1.3 million people visit the Space Needle each year. That makes sense given its stature as a Seattle landmark. It's hard to miss. And millions more likely visit the plaza around the Needle which includes several museums and other local attractions. And most of those probably walk on the large painted labyrinth outside, even if on a recent visit few seemed to notice that they were on it. It's a large design and was installed about eight years as part of a makeover of the area. It sits precisely between the playground and the Museum of Pop Culture, or MoPOP, and steps away from the Chiluhy Glass and Garden Art Museum. I was able to walk it by dodging strollers, tourists and others who were just crossing the plaza. At the center is a bit of a puzzle, a rebus with different word/picture shapes.
