Washington, DC - A view to the Capitol

Being atop an office building in Washington DC is different than other major cities. For one thing, there's a significant height restriction so it's rare for a building to have more than 10 floors or be much taller than a mid-size hotel. Instead, the Capitol and the Washington Monument dominate the skyline. I was able to go onto the roof of the headquarters of the World Resources Institute, just a few blocks from Union Station, recently to see their garden and labyrinth. I'd never been to a rooftop pattern before so it was a unique experience. And from that spot, I could glimpse the tops of several notable DC landmarks.
